Granbury-A Candlelight Tour…a photo gallery

We’re excited to have participated in the 2015 Granbury-A Candlelight Tour…this was the first year for the Preserve Granbury House to be featured and we couldn’t be prouder.  The House was decked out in lights, Christmas decor, and lots of seasonal cheer.  Here are just a few of the spectacular photos from that night:

A very special performance…

A very special performance…

Our 2015 Party on the Peak was a huge success…but there was something missing.  Mr. Ralph Kiss – one of our biggest fans – was unable to attend this year’s festivities due to health reasons.  Mr. Kiss hosted two tables at the event but did not get to join in the fun.  Well, we couldn’t let that pass unrewarded!

Preserve Granbury brought the Party to him! Mr. Kiss and the other residents at Harbor Lakes Nursing and Rehab were treated to a very special performance by National Championship Fiddler Ridge Roberts…and he was in no short supply of fans!

Thank you to all who helped make this happen, and thank you to one of our most valued fans, Mr. Ralph Kiss!

Party on the Peak 2015 a huge success!

Party on the Peak 2015 a huge success!

The 2015 Party on the Peak celebration went off with a bang!  This historic event took place on the privately-owned Comanche Peak…a 1,229 foot historic mesa overlooking Hood County on Saturday, September 19th.  Events included self-guided tours, panoramic views of North Texas, cocktails, Hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and dancing under the Texas stars.

In addition, there were live auctions and silent auctions, live entertainment by Championship Fiddler Ridge Roberts, a concert performed by Eric Tull and the incomparable Open Rhodes Band, and chuckwagon cuisine by the unsurpassed Chef Homer Robertson.

The cowboys and cowgirls wore their western attire with pride, with everything from Native American to pioneer to cowpoke ensembles.  For pictures of the event, please visit our photo album here. Photography was provided by Shad Ramsey Photography.

Funds raised during this event are used for various Preserve Granbury projects, including the current restoration of the Granbury College President’s House.
